Cold caused victim to undress - Evening Times | News: "woman who was found dead and half-dressed in a country lane is thought to have died of hypothermia.
The body of Isabel Boyd, 45, a cousin of gangster Stewart ‘Speccy’ Boyd, who died in a car crash in Spain in 2003, was discovered by a jogger in the early hours of Monday morning on the outskirts of Barrhead.
As reported in last night’s Evening Times, the death was originally treated as unexplained but Strathclyde Police said last night that they would not be launching an inquiry after a post mortem founds signs of hypothermia.
It is known that victims of hypothermia can succumb to a state of “paradoxical undress”, where they take their clothes off in the belief that they are overheating."
